The Schar School’s Michael V. Hayden Center for Intelligence, Policy, and International Security and the Lawfare Institute will cohost a panel discussion that takes viewers into the Oval Office of the White House to see how the Daily Presidential Brief is created and delivered by national intelligence agencies.
The program, “Good Morning, Mr. President! A Peek Inside the President’s Daily Brief,” takes place Thursday, August 27, at 7 p.m. EDT, and features three former leaders of intelligence agencies who will describe their experience in providing crucial top-secret information and analysis to key government decisionmakers.
The virtual event is free and open to the public but registration is required.
“Good Morning, Mr. President!” will be moderated by Lawfare’s chief operating officer David Priess, author of How to Get Rid of a President and The President’s Book of Secrets.
Guests include S. Leslie Ireland, former assistant secretary to the Treasury for intelligence and analysis; Robert Cardillo, former director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency; and former acting director of the CIA, Michael Morell, a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Schar School.
Those who would like to submit questions for the panel to consider may send them to hayden@gmu.edu.
